I've tried a few shelf type wallpapers and while they work fine in portrait mode, there's no way to make the same wallpaper work properly in landscape mode. What we need is the ability to have separate wallpapers for the landscape and portrait orientations of the home screens.

Shelf wallpapers are definitely not designed for landscape mode and it would be almost impossible to make it work....I use my iPhone mainly in portrait mode. I think most people do.

I put this together in less than 10 minutes on my iPhone as a test. It can be done.

Yes, but I think he was referring to one shelf wallpaper working in both portrait and landscape at the same time.
