I was able to find a very helpful Verizon person that directed me to a Verizon site that said that the Iphone 4 will not be able to receive the WEA warnings. It lists the 4S and the 5 as the phones capable. It will be interesting to see if version 7 makes any difference to the Iphone 4 or are we going to be left out. Damned if I am going to buy an up version in order to get this feature.

My guess is that if the situation is serious enough to warrant a presidential alert...you'll find out quick enough other ways!
