Still haven't found the plug for the wind machine.
I found it next to the breaker box in my basement.

Your wind machine is probably powered by it's own wind turbine generator, a regular perpetual motion machine.

There must be more than one wind machine at work, since yesterday. When you walk outside, you might be carried away by the storm.

Out here they have a variable rate wind generation station aimed right into town. We think there are sensors detecting when ever anyone is outside having fun and the system kicks into higher speed.
There is a fail safe, however, that will shut them off if any small paper or plastic items are detected between 30 feet and 1000 feet of the ground with a tether - then it seems all the wind generators turn off for protection.
