Another Chilly Day for Us....The wind is blowing out of the NNE. My reference to it blowing in from Canada came from Our Weatherman’s Report yesterday.

That 'Cold from Canada' is an oft-heard expression, unfortunately usually true, especially in this climate change induced cycle including 'Polar Vortex' ie a real deep freeze moving more south. But the populous centres in Canada's Provinces of Ontario & Quebec ( ie Toronto/ Montreal) usually get dumped on with snow which starts as gobs of moisture coming up the Mississippi, Tenessee and Ohio valleys as rain to start, then heavy snows closer to the great lakes. But Canadians have wide shoulders about either part of the equation. Prairie cold is really Arctic air ventured too far south [emoji3063]

Definitely can cause weather events or worse. St Vincent is an island neighbour to our Barbados, about 100 miles directly West ie downwind which is good.

If it blows it's top it wouldn't be the first time. The last incident did dump a lot of ash here. Clip is from a précis in the local newspaper app.

I figured it would be of interest to our 'group within a group' or thread - which I term PEEW. ( Phone Equipped Weather Watchers) We often post weather app screenshots and other than the missing 'H' the moniker implies stinky weather hot or cold. [emoji3064]
