Something really weird happened today..
I had updated my iPod touch 4th gen to iOS 6.0.1.
I missed my jailbreak so I attempted to downgrade to iOS 5.1.1 using remote SHSH blobs.. I then stitched it to the Ipsw and had a custom Ipsw.. Tried to restore with iTunes but I got an error saying the iOS was not for the device (not exactly what it said). True with redsn0w and same thing happened.. Then I pointed reds now to the originally iOS 5.1.1 Ipsw and it restore without the need for stitching SHSH.. Now the iPod works perfectly.. No problems encountered..
Anyone had this before?
