A car is essential for us, No one changes to winter tyres though, We have big wide wheels so they're usually ok for the short time we have snow and ice.

A car is essential for us as well. From November to April, we have to use winter tires. Required by law, afaik.

All season tires here. But some states allow chains in certain weather, some prohibit chains.

Winter tires are very necessary where I live. All season tires just aren't effective on an icy road at -30°C.

Right now I'm having a cuppa and trying to unwind, I don't believe that Friday 13th is any more likely to be unlucky but from the minute I got up so many things went wrong.
