Too bad your school doesn't have Macs, all you'd have to do then is tap once on the update button for each computer.

I seem to recall that this has happened before. Did you ever discover what's causing the overheating?

No I don't think there was anything that could be pinpointed, Resetting the SMC seems to do the trick though.

Here's hoping the problem, whatever it is, never gets any worse.
