Sat here feeling very annoyed, Took my gold watch to the jeweller today for a new battery and find its been scratched and nicked.

The fact that they damaged your watch and said nothing to you tells a lot about how little they care for their customer's goodwill. They should offer to repair the damage at the very least.

I hope so, I have taken a few items there for repair so they know me, I think they will repair it but I'm very annoyed, As you say they said nothing probably hoping I wouldn't notice.
In future I'm going to let hubby replace my batteries.
