The community is paying our equipment. So when I need a new computer, or anything else we need at school, I need the consent of our mayor. And the budget I'm allowed to use is very limited. The paper we need for copying worksheets is included, e.g., so there's not much left for hardware.
Last year, we got a new laptop, in December. I had to ask the provider to write the billing for January this year, so that it could be paid/used for this year's budget.
I'm dreaming of getting smartboards at school. Since our mayor is teacher, and they don't use these boards at his school, it's quite likely we won't get them any time soon. But both his children are our students, at the moment, so maybe he'll allow it. Who knows?
