Our prayers were answered. My husband drove to the Penske lot where his Semi is parked. Trucking company called and told him to go back home. He was headed straight to MS right into the ice storm or whatever is coming towards us. So I’m relieved [emoji18] He’s not happy about taking a Vacation Day, but it’s better then putting his life on the line.

Just in from a 2 hr stint behind the lawn-mower [emoji27]. Thankful it's still [emoji274]but cool.. 28/82. Another month and it will pass 30/ 86 by 11:00, then on to more like afternoon of 33/92 or so -June to Nov. When I do 'last doggy walk at 21-22:00 and it's still 30+ and 'thick' it's definitely summer.

Too many memories - Montreal, 60's & early 70's. That was school days. - Flying days very much included the Canadian Prairies ( YWG, YQR/ YXE, YYC/YEG.... For 'on duty ramp work ie walkaround preflight inspections we had 'city-type uniform trench coats' ( plus gloves). Ramp workers had parkas and balaclava type headgear. But I fully realize why some hated us, sitting up in warm cockpits [emoji3064]

Here in the tropics we often say that 'Light & Power' ( our utility) is powered by fireflies - and when it frequently goes into blackout it's because someone forgot to feed them.
Power Brick is always fully charged BUT of course a blackout isn't life threatening as it is up in Canada during a severe cold snap. [emoji298]️[emoji3063][emoji298]️
