I kept one for most of my flying career for the same reasons. In Canada it was called an 'AZ' license ( Z being the airbrake endorsement and separate exam every 5 years.) When I let it lapse shortly before I retired from the airline it became a G ( car) M (motorcycle) Z ( airbrake) ticket SO I could drive an airbrake equipped motorcycle.(lol)
I'm a seriousness, it's was because I've always enjoyed trucks ( one of my early jobs) and the security in the airline trade if junior is shakey by design. So I requalified just to have the ticket in my wallet if ever needed. The course was one of the more fun vacation periods I'd had in a a while.

I picked up a really cheap laptop there yesterday that they said was not working on WiFi. I solved the problem; the WiFi switch was off.
