What's the scoop on the World-Fi Map, app? I guess it finds Wi-Fi spots? What if they are secured or password protected?

Then what is its purpose when our phone will pick up the available free WiFi spots already? I'm pleasantly surprised at how many Xfinity hotspots are out there.

The app would show you the location of hotspots out of range of your iPhone, in another country you're about to travel to, for example.
