On the eve of Apple’s special event to launch two new iPhones tomorrow, BGR has a handy roundup of all the various rumours that have been swirling around about the cheaper of the two iPhones, the so-called “budget” iPhone 5C. The first big difference between the 5C and 5S is that the former will have a plastic case, with a flatter, less concave back. It also looks to be somewhat thicker than the iPhone 5S, and will come in five colours: white, yellow, green, pink and blue (as shown in the above video). There will not be a black version of the phone.
As far as the phone’s specs are concerned, BGR says that it will be very similar to the current iPhone 5, with a 4-inch Retina display, the same dual-core processor as the iPhone 5, 1GB of RAM, an 8 megapixel camera and the usual 16, 32 and 64 GB options.
In terms of price, BGR says that it should be around $400, which, although less than the current iPhone’s $650 basic price, is still nowhere near as cheap as the $100 Android phones that it is supposed to be competing with.
Not long to wait now! We look forward to telling you all the facts about Apple’s two new iPhones tomorrow.
