I haven't found a way to disable them either. I get the same when I'm opening it in the app. What I did was disabling notifications for the app in the iPhone's settings.

It's probably a bug in the app that has to be fixed.

Just downloaded.
Nice, but it downsizes the Plus size resolution for images. It doesn't do 1080x1920. 864x1536 is what you get.

That's a great app. I've had it since it was released and had the previous version before that.
