The iPhone 5 has been discontinued, there won't be any price drop.

The 5 has essentially been replaced by the 5C. If you want anything that resembles the original 5, you'd get the 5C.

The price just dropped on the iPhone 5 to match the new iphone 5C. $99 on contract or $549 outright. I doubt it will go lower than that unless a third party retailer decides to undercut Apple.
