When you sell your iphone do you need to take out the SIM card?

I just upgraded my wifes iPhone 4 to a 4S so I sold her old phone on eBay. I was wondering if most buyers are expecting to receive a phone with no sim card? Is there any good reason for me to keep her old SIM card? Or do you guys just let it go with the phone?

I assume when I get the new phone, it will come with a SIM card and she can get her old phone number on that one.

The SIM card is tied to her account. Keep it. Do not sell it with the phone. Though she can get a new one, until you do, that SIM can be used to place calls on her number.

SIM card is not part of the phone and as thewitt say... there is a lot on that SIM card!!!!

Keep the SIM CARd and ship the phone.

The Sim may contain some personal phone number. So you should keep the Sim.
