WHERE are my old apps?

I just made the horrendous mistake of "upgrading" to iOS 7 and now have NONE of my old apps. Where did they go and is there ANY way I can get them back? I went to iTunes, to no avail. This "improvement" is crap.

Did you backup your device?

Did you tell iOS 7 to update or install new?

If the first answer is yes, you can restore the backup and you are done. If no AND you told iOS 7 to install new, then you might have an issue.

I did the same thing, and all of a sudden Android is starting to look better to be!

Well I didn't lose any of my old apps when I upgraded to iOS 7, but I did make a back-up before upgrading.
