Why Won't Enabling 3G in Setting Stick on First Try?

On my iPhone 4 I run Edge usually, unless I'm going to surf or do internet intensive app.

Why when I "enable 3G" and exit that screen does it not take? Why do I sometimes have to enable it 3-4 times before it will "stick".

I haven't read about this happening before, I did a search on the forum and only came up with your other post about this from a few days ago.

Have you tried a restore yet?

I'd probably try a restore first to see if that sorts it out.

Are you trying to enable it through Settings -> General -> Network?

Yes. Has done it since I had the 4, with 4.1 and 4.2. My stepson's 3GS is the same way.

Sounds like it's a network issue not the phone since it's doing it on different phones and different firmwares.

Give your network a call and see if they can advise you...
