Since upgrading from 15PM, whenever I am out and connecting to various coffee or public WiFi spots, ever one takes at least 50-60seconds to proceed to the Authentication part.

Hm that is interesting. What iPhone do you have now? iPhone 16PM?
Any VPN configured on your iPhone? That always seems to interfere and yield wifi issues when transferred to a new iPhone.
You could also try resetting your network settings as well to see if that resolves any issues.

so far, it took a bit longer than usual to kick in and see my 5GHz channel but that's at the office. The real test will be tomorrow on the train and coffee shops... wish me luck!
