Woman Smuggler Caught With 44 iPhone 4s Strapped to her Body

Engadget has the arresting story today of a middle-aged woman who strapped 44 iPhone 4s to her body and tried to smuggle them through customs at Israel’s Ben-Gurion Airport. The woman, who had arrived in Israel from London and was wearing traditional Georgian dress, was apparently having some difficulty actually walking around, which understandably alerted the security forces at the airport. She told them that she wasn’t feeling well, but her strange behaviour roused their suspicions, so they asked her to submit herself to a full body scan, which revealed all the devices strapped to her. She’s obviously not a very bright would-be smuggler, as Israel has the tightest airport security of any nation in the world, so probably not the best place to try and sneak through with a whole load of iPhone 4s attached to your person. According to the original report on Israel News - Haaretz Israeli News source., Israeli authorities will decide this week whether or not to indict the woman or simply fine her.

i doubt it, in israel you can walk into any chemist and buy anything with out prescription i doubt they care about mobile phones
