Apple Insider writes that according to Piper Jaffray analyst Gene Munster, developers attending Apples WWDC last week were not unduly alarmed at the prospect of having to design games and apps for new screen sizes for the iPhone 5 or iPad mini. Munster polled 100 of the developers who were at WWDC 2012, asking them if it would be difficult to alter their apps to two new screen sizes should Apple decide to launch an iPhone with a bigger screen and/or an iPad with a smaller screen. When asked to quantify how difficult changing their apps to fit said screen sizes would be, most of the developers said it would rank as a difficulty of 3.4 out of 10, i.e., not too difficult.
Given the relative ease expected by developers for utilizing potential new iOS screen sizes, we believe the introduction of new screen sizes would not affect the success or availability of the apps on iOS, said Munster in a note to investors.
