Hello,

I am on an iPhone 6+ using iOS 12.5.7. Starting about a month ago, if a call comes in, and I accidentally touch the lower volume button, the call is disconnected.

Every search result advises me to modify the "LOCK TO END CALL" setting, which initially seemed easy enough. The problem is that, despite lots of guidance, I have been unable to locate such a setting on my iOS 12.5.7 phone.

Sincere thanks for any assistance on this,

A.C.

Could you by any chance be pressing the Lock button as well as the Volume Down button at the same time? It is easy to do accidentally as they are opposite. This would cut the call off.

Hello,

I initially thought about the possibility that you suggest, but I have experimented with this frequently...

No, the disconnect definitely occurs if I touch only the Volume Down button, while the phone lies, screen up, on my desk.

Thanks for any further thoughts,

A.C.

Hi again,

The incoming call disconnect problem persists, but I was in error in my most recent post...

Incoming calls are disconnected if I touch the Volume Decrease Button, Volume Increase
Button
, or the Power Button on the upper right edge. The call is not disconnected if I touch the Home Button.

Thanks for any suggestions,

A.C.

Also, my labeling the situation as "disconnection" of the incoming calls was not appropriate. In fact, the button touches were muting the Ringtone, and as a result, I did not know that the calls came in.

Thanks,

A.C.

In that case you could try turning off Change Ringtone with buttons under the setting Sounds. Incidentally, it is very difficult to read your posts when you type in red.

I just checked, and found Change Ringtone With Buttons to be Off. I switched it on, and returned it to its off setting to see if that has any benefit.

Thanks,

A.C.
