Annoying banner with upgrade to iOS 17

I recently upgraded my iPhone 13 to IOS 17.

I like the alarm function at night, when I turn it on its side to recharge.

When I turn the alarm off in the morning, I have a nice clock to see.

But I noticed that I have an annoying banner at the top of my app pages that lists photos, iTunes, world time etc.

How can I delete this?

That looks like a screen shot of your Home Screen. What exactly do you mean by “the top of my app pages”?

I think he means the widget at the top of the screen.

Tap and hold the image at the top, until you see this:

Then select “Remove Widget”.

Yes that worked fine. It never occurred to me to try tapping it like an app. I was looking through settings to figure it out.

I also had to delete about 20 email addresses from the contact list in my phone log after I downloaded 17 as well

They were random email addresses that I had sent or from sites I had visited. That never happened after upgrading before.
