some people have said the 4.0.1 update has fixed the proximity sensor... I havent noticced the fault yet either, only time will tell..

i dont know what the proximity sensore is but every time i try load teco website and click playstation 3 safari crashes. every time :S

Here's a screenshot of my phone before and after the OS 4.0.1 upgrade. Not much difference except I lost 1 bar and the bars are taller so it's easier to tell if you have 1 bar or less.

By the way, they only fixed 2 things with this upgrade.

1. Bar display correction
2. Fixed exchange bugs - this one only applies to corporate users connecting to an exchange server.

The proximity issue will be addressed on the next software update.
