Hi, I wonder if anybody can refer me to an App (if one exists) that gives the opportunity at the press of a button sends a predefined Emergency SMS message & GPS positioning to a preset series of numbers as well as sounds a very loud tone on the receivers phone (maybe a continuous siren or alarm) rather than the same old "Bling" SMS alert tone. My preference would be that it would also have the facility to send the same information to Police & Ambulance.
I have been diagnosed with a rare form of Dementia (FTLD) along with other complications so urgent assistance is becoming required more and more. There is no cure, It will eventually kill me. But there is nothing I can do about that.
I have found some apps that come close to what I need but I email them to see if the app could be even slightly tailored to suit my needs realizing that this will cost me and they cannot be bothered even replying to my messages.
I hope somebody might be able to point me in the right direction here.
Many thanks in advance.
Graeme

yes there is such an app, i recall reading about an app that does all you just mentioned on the forum but in the application section. you might consider performing a search in the app section.

Not that I know of. For the app to make a different sound to the default text sound would mean the other phone would need to open some kind of MMS after receiving the sound you sent.

For serious medical conditions I'd (personally) probably rather have a proper device instead of rely on my phone. Something that is actually built for that purpose.

I've just done a quick google and there are proper dedicated devices out there that do this.

To answer your question though, the closest I can think of is WhatsApp, that does pretty much what you said except for the "siren" sound on the receiver, you're not going to get something to do that without the other person accepting and opening the MMS AFTER they receive your message.

Thank you very much Guy's
I will take your advise and search the apps area as well as check out WhatsApp.
Your replies are really appreciated

I actually meant thank you for the sincere advice, firstly, with regards to a specific device which I think in reality is going to be the most sensible and safest solution but I have already downloaded the Whatapp application and assessing if it will do what I need.
But I specifically wanted to thank you guys for your responses and input towards something that is so important for me.

Ok. Whatsapp is a free sms app, i don't know all the features in whatsapp but maybe yes you can be able set templetes ready to be sent to a specific phone number, but the one who have to receive your whatsapp message also need to have whatsapp install on his/her phone.
