Apple is aware of battery life problem on 4s and iphone 4

I heard there will be another update soon to fix the battery life problem ? Correct ?

Well it makes sense that Verizon users would have a better experience considering the generally better reception. When I was with AT&T a couple years I noticed there were so many times that I had barely a bar or zero reception where it had to run the "Searching" routine which I'm sure is a battery drainer. Now that I'm with Verizon I'm so relieved that I generally have good reception wherever I am so there's little to no battery drain issues searching for reception.

Does that make sense?

I had push and fetch on manual location and the other options on. On a side note today my 4s had it s first fall tks god everything is ok :d

Since Apple are aware of the "battery drain" on the iPhone 4s do you think that
They will sort the the problem on the phones that are being manufactured now.

If it's a software issue then there's no way they COULD solve it for the new phones since the only iOS available to load onto it at this point is 5.0.1. If it's a 'hardware' issue for some -- like bad batteries from factory -- which is the only thing that could explain some of the problems I'm hearing about here -- then YES - they COULD fix THAT problem with new phones.. But ALL people with 4s's are experiencing worse battery life than Apple's specs - which proves it's MOSTLY an iOS problem that can be fixed. That's the good news. Though as I remember - they were never able to completely fix the weaker than expected battery life with the 2G original iPhone. It wasn't until the 3G and 3GS that we started to see solid battery life. And the 4 has been the best so far.

That's why I don't jump on the I need the newest iPhone bandwagon ;) I'm happy with my 4. Siri seems useless and games really don't benefit from dual core yet.

So iPhone 5 maybe a few months after launch.

My 4 is at the best it's been with 5.0.1 by far

I totally agree with this statement NdX. I had excellent battery life with my iPhone 4. I could go all day with out having to charge until nighttime. When I didn't use the phone much that day, I could nearly make it to the end of the next work day unless I used it heavily. That's with fetch, push, wi-fi, and Bluetooth on. Keep in mind I didn't use wi-fi much with iPhone 4.

If I had not lost my iPhone 4 I would probably still have it as well. But I'll take the 4S any day with this battery issue over my old android phone. I'm confident Apple will fix this.

This is not true. Many of the newer games run much smoother on the 4S/Ipad 2 than with the single core 4. The GPU in the 4S is the best out there of any phone that I know of-whoops up on the Nexus.

I have 2 iPhone 4's and the latest iPod Touch in my family and while they work great, NewdestinyX is right, scrolling around my sons Touch and iPhone 4 just feels sluggish. I never thought that before I had my 4S. I am spoiled.

No. Haut wait for an update. That's a real stupid decision

I disagree with Sekelani here. There were SOME phones that did have bad batteries from factory. This has happened with EVERY iPhone ever released - there's always a small percent with truly defective batteries. There were MANY 3G's with bad batteries..

If this is true then why does a software update fix the problem then? Because clearly if it's just bad batteries then a software update won't fix the problem.

*sigh* There is no icon for popcorn here. Oh well.

/me gets out the popcorn and sits back to watch this debate play out.
