Apple maps help

Hi
I updated my iOS 10.0.1 today playing around with Apple maps. When I first opened it up there was a window at the bottom with a bunch of icons driving walking biking transiting riding. For some reason that window disappeared when I open it up and cannot figure out how to get to come back up. Can anyone please tell me how to do this? Thank you

Pick a location you want to go. Tap directions. And it should pop back up. Mine did
