In that case it must be the data network sucking up all the battery. Hopefully Apple comes with with a fix for this. My 3gs would take 2 days with e-mails pushing to it constantly as well as me using APPs and web.

Also there is a 23 page post on apple site about issues. So alot of people are seeing this problem. Like so posts stated all Apple really needs to do is say hey we see the problem and are working on, but there was a good ammount of posts saying they were bring back the phone.

Testing something I saw on the apple forums incase anyone wants to give it a try. Powered up too 100% and left it die completely. Powered it fully again, Syncd'ed my phone with Icloud and my computer. Restored my phone to factory state, synched my backup. Was at 100% power. Turned on wifi, downloaded a game. Played it for 10 mins. Updated and app. Before this my phone would be at about 87% i would say about now, but after the restore im still at 98% battery. Things are looking good. Been off the charger for about and hour or so now.

Another thing to note I looked at the Diag logs on the phone. My phone looked to be respinging every hour or so. I have the phone a viberate alot, but noticed the screen would come on randomly like if you pressed the home button but didnt unlock and then just disappare after 5 seconds. This was the phone constantly respringing as per the logs. Its like as if you we jailbroken and using SB settings to resping(im not jail broken, my ipad way so i know about respinging from there). Ill update on how im doing later today.

Update... Serveral hours later and by phones still at 92% battery! Good stuff.

I have a feeling you have to let is discharge a couple of times and then charge it all the way up. I just got my 4S yesterday, charged it up and now 24 hrs later under 20%. I'll let it run out and give it a full charge.

How did you restore your phone to factory state? I went to settings, general, reset and hit reset all settings. Is this correct? It didn't seem like it was a factory resetting.

A restore and a factory reset did not help my battery at all. I need more help

I noticed that the battery in the 4s doesn't last as long as in my 4. I turned Bluetooth off, hope that helps

Another update, my phones been on since 1pm Friday its, been over 24 hours. I currently have 13% battery. I have downloaded 2 Apps, played 20 mins of games, checked and responded to several company emails, surfed the net for probably about an hour total. I'll see how my battery does after I let it die and fully chage it again.

Whatever the restore and resync did worked so far.

Yeah - like I said above, don't panic yet on the battery. After I charged it fully on Thurs when I got the 4S, I let it discharge fully - by Friday morning. Maybe 16-18 hrs use. It had a full charge Friday before noon. Then, Fri/Sat I made calls on the regular 3G network, did a bit of browsing/emailing, fired up the camera in both still/video mode, did heavy phone calling for work and calls to Canada using Skype. Now it here it is, before noon on Sunday and I'm giving it a 2nd recharge after 36+ hrs and it had gotten down to 8% - not even fully discharged.

Of course, you have to be careful managing your apps, make sure you close after usage. But I think after 2-3 full recharges on the battery from 0 you should get close to 40 hrs of minimal use/standby and at least 20-24 hrs of hi-power use.

I'm still having trouble my battery. I sometimes detect it's warm in my pocket and can halt its rapid discharge. I went camping last weekend. I started 98% percent Friday night woke up Saturday morning 14%. Same thing happened last night. Seriously annoying! Wifi is disabled. I closed most apps but obviously have not found the problem. Putting this on the charger again.... Now at 8% after starting this message at 13%. My 3GS had no such problem.

I have run my battery down completely several times but no change in battery performance. So what I have done is turn brightness down. I'm thinking I'd disabling Siri. Please guys let me know if a fix? I have restored set up has a new iPhone still no difference. HELP!

Idk maybe I got lucky or whatever but I get amazing battery on my iPhone 4S (32GB white/sprint) ..just went through an entire 8 hr shift at work with moderate usage and my battery only dropped to 78%...granted I used my works wifi but it still beats any of my android phones so that's always a plus :D

I found one thing that works for me. airplane mode. I went to bed with it at 10% & woke up at 9%. First-time the alarm actually woke me up...
