Buying off eBay/applecare

I bought my daughters Apple Watch SE off eBay last Christmas. I didn’t think about Applecare. I thought about getting my sons AirPods off eBay. He wants a newer gen. Can I get AppleCare on them?

You won't be able to add AppleCare from eBay only places like Best buy or similar and of course the Apple store

You can buy Apple Care up to 60 days from purchase of AirPods. I am fairly certain that also means from new.

Yep, you can add AppleCare to a product up to 60 days after the original purchase. You would need to make sure any used/eBay refurb models are within 60 days of the original purchase.

Honestly, there are so many fake AirPods coming into the US I would not trust any third-party seller. I would only buy from Amazon/Best Buy/Apple. Even if they show you the serial number, they can have it faked from a genuine pair of AirPods. I have seen it countless times when someone's AirPods stop working or sound horrible, and they call in and there are about 150 cases on the one serial number. AND NEVER TRUST FACEBOOK MARKETPLACE!!!

They would not come with AppleCare. Any warranty would be from the seller on Amazon.
Refurbished devices purchased directly from Apple have the same warranty and AppleCare availability as new devices.
