AppleInsider reports today on the comments of Barclays analyst Ben A. Reitzes, who published a note to investors today that focused on the popularity of the iPhone as a digital camera, and in which he referred to the iPhone as the digital camera of choice for consumers and enthusiasts. Reitzes' statement is based on the latest figures from Flickr, which show that the iPhone 4 is the most popular camera on the site, with over 51 million registered users, beating out the likes of Canons EOS 5D Mark II, Nikons D90, Canons EOS REBEL T2i, and Canons EOS 7D. In other words, the iPhone 4s camera is favourite ahead of some pretty serious camera equipment! AppleInsider notes that when considering Flickrs stats in terms of smartphone use alone, the figures show that Apple has complete domination, with the top four smartphones for photography on Flickr being 1) iPhone 4, 2) iPhone 4S, 3) iPhone 3G, 4) iPhone 3GS.
