With 87 million members and 3.5 million photos uploaded every day, Flickr is one of the largest image and video hosting websites on the net. In its 2015 Year in Review, Flickr announced that the iPhone is at the helm with 42 percent of images uploaded from Apple smartphones.
Among the smartphones, the most popular devices uploading to Flickr were the iPhone 5s, Galaxy S5, iPhone 6 Plus and iPhone 5. Canon cameras follow far behind smartphones at 27 percent and Nikon is down to 16 percent of all photos uploaded to Flickr.
These results should be no surprise as the iPhone is more mobile than a DSLR and has an amazing camera. It is important to note in January 2015, the iPhone just surpassed Nikon's numbers on Flickr.
