MacRumors reports today that some lucky German customers have already got their new iPhone 4Ss in their hands, according to website Macerkopf.de, which even has some pictures of the box as well as other exciting images of the phones in action. Of course this is way ahead of the October 14 launch date, but pre-orders were always bound to go out early to make sure they arrived on the promised date. As MacRumors notes, with phones now starting to arrive in customers' hands, we can expect to learn more and more details about the new handset prior to launch, such as yesterday's news that early benchmark tests reveal the new phone to be approximately 68% faster than the iPhone 4, with graphics tests showing it to be nearly 7x as fast. If youre looking forward to experiencing all that speed on launch day though, its starting to look like youll have to get ready for a long wait in line as pre-orders seem to be sold out almost everywhere, although Sprint did still have a very few left this morning.
