How am I still able to text?

How am I still receiving text message from other iphone 4s?? I haven't paid my phone bill in 2 months. everything else is cut off though, it even says I have no service on the top left hand... is there a built in device in the new iphones? or did they just forget to cut the texting part out?

Seems a bit odd... might want to touch base with your wireless provider. However, they probably won't be much help since you haven't paid your bill.

Perhaps... until the wireless provider catches on months from now and tries to charge you a lump sum for the text messages that you've sent and received w/o being in a messaging plan. Paying per text can rack up the $$ quite quickly!

Well I was thinking in the new iphones, they have something built in them where iphones can text iphones without service. The reason I say that is because No other phones can text me, or call me except the new iphone.

that's iMessage, you have it enable in your iPhone and your contact is having it as well, iMessage is not part of your carrier network services.

It's iOS 5.0 or 5.0.1. Not the new iPhone. It's most likely any iPhone running this iOS... And I'm sure it's being sent and received over wifi.

Similar to an iPad that's wifi only and not on a cell network.
