I've never come across an eBay seller who accepts cash. I'm pretty sure that's not even an option.

wife has sold items been paid in cash, we sold our old garden furniture got paid on collection. If your paid cash you save PP commission, but if they mess about collecting, giving sob story excuses you end up putting it back on, so you make your choices.

We now state 'no low or bad feedbacks, collect within 7 days (if not posted), deposit by PayPal on close of auction'.
