How to tell if your device is a pre-a5

hi everyone i was wondering what is a pre-a5 device and how to tell if your iphone is one cheers..
ps as this is my first post i dont understand the line saying,,,,,, if creating new thread please add tags,,,,,,,,,, obviously iam a complete novice can someone explain this to me

Depends on the model of your iPhone. The 4S was the iPhone equipped w/ the A5 processor. So, if you have an iPhone 4 or earlier... you're using a "pre-A5" device.

Anything before the iPad 2 and the iPhone 4S are non-A5+ devices.
