Other options:

You can get solar powered battery packs as well that will keep you running indefinitely as long as there is light.

A co-worker has one of those Juice Packs and can extend his battery twice as long. It is kinda pricey, but worth it if you use the phone a lot.

Because I dont get near 10 hours usage on my 4s. I just get 5 hours max

The specs for the 4s are UP TO 6 hours of internet use so your close i think your bat is fine.

What's so weird is the 1 % that's left before it dies last so long like 20minutes to 30

Yeah just keep running your phone down to under 20% and charge to full each time and it will get better.

I just put my iPhone in dfu then restored from backup. I'll see the battery life

Battery live also depend of what you are doing on the phone. If I'm posting in the website all day long and surfing the Internet or streaming music then sure I will kill that battery soon. Also remember all the time we get a new phone we kill battery much faster because we are playing with all the goodies.
