If jailbreaking becomes illegal...

If jailbreaking becomes illegal...

I doubt it could be retroactive, and what I do with my personal property is not the government's business as long as I am not taking from somebody else. I don't see how using third-party software to access features made available by third-parties could ever be illegal, but then ... I'll leave it at that.

I doubt it will become illegal... the only thing that apple could get jailbreakers on is breaking their eula.. their terms and conditions, when we take the device and use it we agree not to modify it in the "Eula" but that wont stop any one especially when the law on jailbreaking will stay legal.

Now it would really be fun to play with my iPhone 4S. I was planning to customize it by myself....

i will drop jailbreak if it becomes illegal. The fact is that i will never be illegal to jailbreak the iOS, but some stuff things behind jailbreak might be illegal.

Simple fact is when I pay for something it is mine, I couldn't care less about eulas.

Think of it this way, I just bought a new Camaro, who the hell would Chevy be to tell me I can't upgrade the engine and put a tank of NOS in the trunk?

Interestingly, I bought my iPhone 4 used from a friend on twitter. I got only the phone, cable, wall wart; no box, no earbuds, no EULA.

Why waste the money buy a mustang. Lol

iPhone of course

Stock sucks, lots of things are illegal I customize cars & trucks for a living & if you read the laws down to the nitty gritty it says that if the manufacturer didn't install it then it's illegal yet I can still make a living at it with my name out there and so can all the multi-million dollar aftermarket parts manufacturer, so the same will apply to jail breakers there will always be loopholes and gray areas to get around it

Please, everyone - do remember that this is a family forum! We don't talk about illegal activities here - of any kind. Nor, do we use obscene language. Please, keep it clean.

We have removed an offending post and all subsequent posts that refer to that post. So, if you're wondering where your post went ... now you know.

We now return you back to the thread. Which, honestly, is very interesting. Just ... Don't get distracted and stray from the original subject.

Thanks.

it really makes no difference where you buy it from because if you notice when you download a new ios update you have to click that you accept dont you? unless you never upgrade firmware?
