iPhone 16 Pro Max Wireless Transfer Taking Forever!

I got my mom's iPhone 16 Pro Max in earlier today, and I've been helping her set it up. I started the wireless direct transfer from her old iPhone 11 Pro Max, and it's been taking so long!

It started at 7 hours, and about an hour and a half in, it still says 6 hours LOL.

I've taken enough AC calls to know to give it patience and let the peer-to-peer transfer do its thing, but I was just curious if anyone else is seeing this.

Not quite the same but updating my iPhone 16 Pro Max to iOS 18.1 Beta 4 is taking hours. After almost 4 hours it still says 2 hours left.

And here I thought my Wi-Fi is slow, because the wireless direct transfer took about an hour.

Woke up this morning and it had finally finished! It took FOREVER!

Hi, haven't been here in awhile. Just got my iPhone 16 Pro last week. Transferred data from an iPhone 12 pro. Took 10 minutes. Spectrum wifi 300Gb plan. I don't know what the difference is with what you experienced. I offloaded many Apps and deleted a lot of useless storage stuff, old pics and messages. 75Gb free on a 128Gb phone, so maybe I just didn't have much to transfer?

Haha, I believe my mom was at 230GB out of 256GB! That could definitely be it. We're also on Spectrum here!

I've never seen a transfer take that long, but it didn't freeze. It finished after about 6 hours haha
