iPhone 4 Case Review Thread

Love the Speck Candy Shell, just wish they would get all the colors available. The one I want is still not available anywhere and I'm not paying $30 for a runner-up color.

i was looking into the invisible sheild, which is a great idea except its a sticker and they always start peeling off on the edges and dont protect it from serious scrapes or a possible drop. Hard case all the way! More protection. I can be kind of clumsy sometimes...

Just received my OtterBox Defender for my iPhone 4 .... Very nice! I used them on my iPhone 3gs as well and this new one has much better styling though I wish it still had the membranes over the speaker holes. I never have liked the plastic belt clips as they always seem to break no matter what case so I use a leather Treo horizonal belt case to hold the phone in.

I am always outdoors so I feel relieved now that my 4 is protected with a defender case.

I received my Speck Tartan free case yesterday and I have to say, I really like it. I especially like that the edges are rounded and feel much better in my hand than the angular edges of the cheap Fommy.com case I was using. I wish it was a little more colorful, but I'm surprized at how sharp the all black looks. I can live with it until the "right" case presents itself. I may come in and post some pictures once hubby gets home and I can take a few with his phone.

ETA: Tried to take pics but with the lighting around here it just looks like a black bumper from the front and the back you can't really see the pattern. It's a 2 piece case, front snaps onto the back, but the pieces fit tight and don't seem to be collecting any dust or dirt. I dropped my phone on a wood kitchen floor and it just bounced, no harm done.

I've been using the Vintage Ultra Slim Leather Pouch for my iPhone4 for the last two months and I'm glad I purchased it. It's one of those flap ones where you have to open it and close each time you use it, but that becomes of a minor importance after awhile. However, it does affect the dock connector and the charger. You have to open the case in order to insert the cable. Other than that this case does offer the full body protection it needs. The leather is smooth in texture and as time goes by the leather pouch gives a more vintage look due to the scratches and marks formed from everyday usage. This is what caught my attention before I decided to spend $47.99, and I'm not regretting it so far.

Its a great case one of the best cases out.

I've gone for the zagg invisible shield and black apple bumper. Not the cheapest option but to me it looks the best. Not seen any real cases that I like.

did the bumper bubbled up hour zagg?
I put mine on after I installed the zagg and it messed up all the edges all the way around front and back.
I dont know because I didnt wait more than 24 hours to put it on and maybe it was not dry.

I had a Griffin Reveal but didn't like the way the rubber fit on the bottom of the phone.

Selected the Incase Smoke Snap Case for my free case and love it.

what are your recommendation for the optimal case and best screen protection ?
How do i know, if one case is better than the others, and same for screen protectors ?

Just go to apple.com they have a lot of recommended cases but any will solve the antenna issue!

I tried out the Defaultcase.com offer of a penny case plus $3.99 shipping. At $4.00 I figured it was a cheap experiment. I must say, I wish I'd ordered a dozen in all the colors. I like my red one, though. It feels good to the hand, is not slippery, fits like a glove to maintain the slim line. I'm very pleased.

Our free cases came in, I got the Griffin Motiff which is exactly like my wife's iSkin she got before the phones even came in. I tried it on and it started to peel up my invisishield so I promptly removed it and put back on my Incipio Acralyic case. In my opinion the Griffin Motiff would provide minimal suffort for the sides and back, but you will need to trim your screen protector back like I did on my wife's iSkin. My wife ordered the Griffin Etch and I like it way better than the motiff, but my Incipio that I purchased on my own for $30 takes the cake and will keep my phone safe at all times.

anybody know which is the best clear thin case that can support a screen protector/vinyl in the front? i currently have a screen protector and a white cf skin on my phone, and the 2 cases i got ( belkin grip vue and a griffin white silicon case) keeps pealing my protector off. i am going to try the ILUV clear case today but wanted opinions first. thanks.
