iPhone 5s Onenote App word search problem

I have just installed Microsoft's Onenote App on my iphone 5s.
This App will search for & find a given word when installed on my iPad, but NOT on my iphone 5s.

The iphone has all the updates.

Is it the case that the iphone is just not capable of performing all the functions of Onenote?

Can anyone help me please?

Touch icon in upper left of main screen opens up a search box. Is that what you're looking for?
