Iphone wifi printer

Hi i am wondering if this would work if I purchased a wifi printer eg one where you send docs to the printers email would it work if i make my iPhone 4s a hotspot and provided the wifi that way so I can use out and about obviously powering printer from an inverter. Also can you just buy a printer and not need to be set up with a computer as I do not have a computer so hoping that this is possible I know if this is I would not have options to change printer quality settings for photos etc as I will be emailing docs as PDF to printer as it is not an airprinter where you do have these options unless using Epson print app hope this makes sense and somebody can help

As far as printers go you need a PC or Laptop to have the software for the printer to work.

Now if you can find a program for the iphone that can enable the driver support for the printer, then in theory
it should work like a PC or laptop would.

Most apps for printing for the iphone allow for printing to a printer that is hooked up to a PC or Laptop.
