Iphone4 will not sync with itunes 10.4

My iPhone4 will now not sync since I've downloaded the iTunes 10.4 update I never had any problems before but now it won't sync and says I should restore to factory settings!! Even though it recognises my phones name and info help would be appreciated.. Thanks
