keyboard on iphone 4

when I am reading my text messages and then I type an answer the keyboard comes up. How do I make the keyboard go away again so that I can read the message on the full screen?

Press the keyboard hide button bottom right

there is not one, on the bottom right I have a return button, if I press it it inserts a carriage return in the text

My bad, ipad2 has it, no way i know but you can pan up or down in the text window using fingers drag

Press just above the keyboard and then slide the keyboard down out of view
