Make your own ring back tones?

I was wondering if there's anyway to make your own ring back tones/songs from a song in iTunes. I have Verizon as my carrier. Not sure if it's possible due to copyright laws and whatnot. Any info helps, thanks.

A ringback tone is something that has to be enabled by your carrier... and as far as I know there's no way to use a custom tone as opposed to ones they offer.
