Touch Arcade has details today on a new multiplayer upgrade for Gameloft’s fantastic first-person shooter, Modern Combat 2: Black Pegasus. The new map pack can be purchased from within the app for $1.99, and consists of three maps, namely an Eastern European battlefield and bunker, and a shanty town in South America. As well as the chance to download the new maps, the update also delivers 10 free XP levels in multiplayer for everyone as well as better protection against hackers with fresh bug fixes. The single-player game mode lets the player choose between one of three characters and shoot their way across 12 battlefields set in the Middle-East, Eastern Europe and South America. In the comprehensive multiplayer experience you get to choose between four multiplayer modes: Battle, Team Battle, Defuse the Bomb and Capture the Flag. There are a total of 72 ranks that you can progress through by earning XP, as well as unlockable weapons and reward messages.
