I think its 3 months with Orange you have to be with. I'll check out the T-Mobile, I thought they were part of Virginmobile. BF is usually quite good at all this stuff but he's not taking much interest, poss as I'd have a better phone than him 
which will lead me on to another question, in March a buddy of mine I work with is getting a free upgrade to iPhone 5 on O2 (his sone works there and gets good deals for family) but he likes his iPhone 4 and is of that type that why fix whats not broke, he likes the phone he has and he is going to sell it to me, checking the sites given among others, I'll be assuming that that will be easier to unlock? This is the phone I am going to give to BF
