New to iphone

OK, after some more digging it appears as if what I am after is not possible:

This came straight from Apple ... So, looks like in order to have a file accessible to multiple apps you have to share that file with each desired app. Kind of stupid in my opinion because as, I mentioned above, these files will now eat away device storage under both apps

I got the 256GB so not really a biggie, but still seems kind of asinine.

Swipe up to bring up the Control Centre. The flashlight icon is there.

I don't actually need a flashlight at the moment, but it's one of those things I'd like to know how to do. Swiping up doesn't seem to do anything on my phone. Swiping down brings up a search box though.

I find if I start with my thumb slighty resting on the home button and swipe up it launches command center without fail.

If an app is open, close it so that you get to the homescreen. Then swipe up from the bottom again.

If you try it on the lockscreen, make sure it's enabled in your settings:
Control Centre - Access on Lock Screen.

Works on my iPhone 4, swipe up and press the torch button , try turning your iPhone on first maybe

Tomorrow is Day "Day 14". Some things have been frustrating. I would consider "going back" for the PIXEL. Commercials sound great - forums are mixed - and - it's not on TMO. So, it looks like you guys are stuck with me for a while - at least until Sammy releases a Non-Exploding "Note".

Actually think that the "Not will go away, and the larger model will be called a "Plus". There's a lawsuit waiting to happen. lol
