It seemed someone slipped up over at the Google-owned developer. Yesterday's 1.0.1 update disabled players using Pokemon Trainer Accounts from logging it. Fortunately the Pokemon Go developer noticed the bug quickly and push version 1.0.2 on Wednesday.
All of these app update are great. Earlier in the week Niantic promised to have bi-weekly update to Pokemon Go, which would include anything from new features to bug fixes. The game is laods of fun if you haven't tried it yet, all we need now is now better servers.
