An iphone 7 Plus 128 GB (Sl No. F2LTL73XHFY9) was purchased on 16/06/2017 for a UGC research project of Jadavpur University, Kolkata, India. Since purchased the iPhone is found to have severe fault in voice communication. The said iPhone is initially repaired and subsequently replaced by another iPhone 7 plus ((having serial no. F2LTQ5MSHFY9 and IMIE no. 353779081527063). But the same fault exists in the replaced iPhone also. Now the Apple authorised service center in Kolkata is not accepting the fact that this iPhone is also having the same said fault. Several e-mails, letters were sent to the Apple India Head office located at
19th Floor, Concorde Tower C, UB City, No. 24, Vittal Mallya Road, Bangalore 560001, India. They did not even show the curtsy of replying any of those letters.
Having no other options left, a Consumer case (bearing no. CC 50/2018) is lodged BEFORE THE HON’BLE DIST. CONSUMER DISPUTES REDRESSAL FORUM Kolkata Unit – II. 8-B, Nellie Sengupta Sarani, 7th Floor, Kolkata- 87, for getting justice.
It can be reiterated that we could not use till date the first iPhone as well as the replaced iPhone for the research purpose since the date of its purchase.
