Over 7000 Unread Mails Vanished...?

Hello,

On my iPhone 6 Plus with iOS 12.5.7... Mail displays that I have over 7000 Unread messages in my inbox, but I can't manage to view, or, more importantly, delete any of 'em.

I have Googled until my fingers bled, and experimented with lots of suggested solutions, but the problem persists.

Check the filter on the emails. It may be filtering out the view you want. Or check the folders.

No, I have tried with two PCs, and can't view any of them...

What is your email provider? Gmail, Yahoo, etc? That might help get down to the root of the problem.
